MedQuest is a college campus-based health careers exploration program for Vermont high school students. Student participants reside in a dormitory and participate in a variety of didactic and shadowing experiences during an academically rich four-day experience.  Assistant Directors (ADs) help deliver components of the designed programs, serve as role models for the students, and are 24/7 staff and chaperones. Graduate and undergraduate health professions students are welcome to apply.

Assistant Directors will earn a $670 stipend for the 4-day commitment.

  • Lead workshops during the program.
  • Assist with other workshops and presentations during the week.
  • Reside on campus with the students throughout the entire program.
  • Work as part of a team with the other ADs and the Program Director.
  • Make sure all participants are on time and prepared for all activities.
  • Answer questions the participants may have about health careers and education.
  • Actively participate in the program.
  • Help lead the evening programs.
  • Act as a “counselor” and a disciplinarian, if needed.
  • Complete an evaluation of the program and your experience.
  • Have fun!
