Information from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics from March 2016 shows the average salary for various health care jobs in Vermont. Salaries vary according to geographical location, experience, and time on the job.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects job growth of 23% in health care over the next decade, with an estimated 974,000 new jobs created between 2014 and 2024. This growth is partially due to more people with insurance access and the aging of the large baby boomer population.

Every winter the Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports challenges youth to Stretch Your Limit by trying a new activity or sport, doing more of your favorite winter activity, eating more fruits and vegetables, and spending less time in front of the computer or TV! Winter stretches over many months in Vermont, which makes it even more important to Move More, Eat More Colors, and Turn It Off. For more energy and to stay healthy, kids and teens should get 60 minutes of heart-pumping physical activity every day. Choose any six weeks during the winter and track your participation on the Stretch Your Limits Tracking Sheet found on the Councils website.
